All-New Ford Bronco Bucks Into Bismarck

Posted at Mon, Oct 26, 2020 8:15 AM

Eide Ford’s sales team got an exclusive in-person look at the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport on their dealership floor last week. Dozens of North Dakotans have already pre-ordered their own online via Eide Ford.

We announced the all-new Bronco earlier this summer, and broke down the unique trim levels that are exclusive to this exciting SUV:

  • Base Model - The base Bronco comes in a choice of seven colors from Oxford White to Rapid Red Metallic clearcoat, with the other colors all shades of blue, black, gray, and silver.
  • Big Bend -  The Big Bend adds Race Red, Cactus Gray, and Area 51 (a dark teal) to the base model's seven colors. At the front of the vehicle, a carbonized gray grille matches the wheels and LED fog lamps.
  • Black Diamond - The Black Diamond and trim levels above it add Cyber Orange Metallic to the palette of colors on the Big Bend trim level, for a total of 11 choices. This model adds a bit of heavy-duty off-road hardware including a stronger front bumper and powder-coated steel rear bumper, along with rock rails and "bash plates" underneath.
  • Outer Banks - The Outer Banks trim is the luxury-oriented trim, comparable to the Jeep Wrangler Sahara. It features body-color door handles, mirrors, fender flares, and powder-coated tube steps.
  • Wildtrak - The Wildtrak models are distinguished by a black hard top and Wildtrak-specific hood graphics.
  • Badlands - The Bronco Badlands is the most capable off-road Bronco with a heavy-duty front bumper and steel rear bumper and is comparable to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

“When Ford announces a new vehicle, they usually send out a trainer with the car before the vehicle officially is in stock here,” said Adam Griffith, new vehicle sales manager at Eide Ford. “But as far as excitement goes, we’ve never seen anything like this new Bronco. Ford has never had an SUV as rugged as this one. It’s going to be a great competitor.”

Those of us who were made in the 60s, 70s and 80s will appreciate the nostalgia of Ford’s revival Bronco, which includes many sport-focused features and familiar style queues as the Broncos of yore.

As with any exciting new Ford model (including the Mustang Mach-E), the golden question is: “When will it actually be in stock on the lot?”

The Eide Ford team is beyond excited to bring the Bronco back to Bismarck, and all three models – 2-door, 4-door, and Sport, are available for pre-order right now. The first units for in-person retail sale will be available in 2021.

“We’ve had a lot of interest in the new Bronco here in Bismarck,” said Griffith. “For me, the most surprising part of seeing it in-person was the spacious interior. There is plenty of headroom in every seat. They designed the rear space to hold bikes vertically. The more you look at the new Bronco, the more impressive it is. The bottle opener on the tailgate is also a nice touch!”
